Pumpkin Patch

We have been having the most beautiful fall weather here in Sheridan, WY. The leaves are turning, the sky is pristine blue and sparkly, the air has cooled down and I am in heaven! What could make it feel even more like fall? A trip to the pumpkin patch of course!

Jason, Jaelyn, Elliana, and I headed out east to a farm just outside of town. The minute we arrived there was a tractor drawn hay wagon ready to pull us up a hill to the vast pumpkin patch! Jaelyn wasn't too into it at first, so Jason and I chose our pumpkins. After watching us for a while, I think she figured out what she was supposed to do and she found herself a little, yellow pumpkin just her size! Afterwards we headed back to the barn where they had cookies, lemonade and other farm animals like goats, chickens and baby kittens to look at and pet! What a perfect way to spend a lazy Sunday together!!

The Denver Zoo

Jaelyn had gone to the Cheyenne Mtn. Zoo at 8 months, but I am sure she didn't remember. Now being almost two, animals are up there with pacifiers, Mommy and Daddy! That being said, she LOVES animals!!

During our Denver trip, the family, Papa and Grandma made it to the Denver Zoo. We all had a blast, but Jaelyn definitely was in her element.

A zoo trip wouldn't be complete with out a train ride. Honestly, I was not impressed because you don't get to see any animals...only trees. But, I am not 2!! Jaelyn thought it was the best and that is all that matters!

The Farm

For Labor Day Weekend we headed south to visit family and take a trip to the zoo. The girls did great in the car...Elli slept the whole time and Jaelyn watched hours upon hours of Elmo DVD's. We took 2 days to get down to La Jara, CO and stopped at my parents in Aurora, CO and then headed south. Here we are at Jason's mom's house, which Jaelyn calls "the harm" for "farm."
We had a nice visit relaxing, playing and hanging out.

2 Months Old

We went to Fort Collins and had the same photographer take newborn and family pictures that also took my maternity photos when I was pregnant with Jaelyn. Here Elliana is 2 months old and just as sweet, beautiful and precious as the day she was born! We have been so blessed with this beautiful baby girl that I wanted to share these pictures with everyone!

Family Pictures

So we finally got our family pictures taken...and I have to say I think they turned out great of the girls! Here Elliana is 2 months old and Jaelyn is 22 months old. ( I chose not to disclose the ages of Jason and I!) We had our great friend and photographer, Liz Herget, take our pictures at their family farm. (This is the same place that we took maternity pictures when I was pregnant with Jaelyn summer 2009!) It was hard to pick only a few, so I posted as many a lot of the different poses. I think my favorite is of the two girls on the chairs and Jaelyn is looking at sweet Elliana who has a smirk on her face. Too cute!
