Laguna Beach, CA
Traveling in September has to be one of the nicest times of the year to travel! Our family and my parents headed west for our first family vacation since Elliana was born. We drove to Denver from Sheridan (ahh, the 7 hour drive), and boarded a plane at DIA the next day and flew into California! The girls have gotten to be the best little travelers, and they did amazing! We spent five wonderful days at Laguna and I have to say we were not ready to come back! The weather was perfect, the beach was not crowded, and the girls and Jason and I had a blast! This vacation was also very special because it is where I went every summer growing up until I was 20! I have so many special and wonderful memories being at Laguna Beach. Memories with my family, outings, and especially of my sister. I miss my sister Tracy so much, but being at the beach ended up being a time of healing and peace since her death. We had the most amazing vacation for so many reasons...

My mom, Jaelyn, Elliana and I. This was a really special moment as we tossed a pink Gerber daisy (my sister's favorite flower) into the ocean for her! It was a peaceful moment that we could remember my sister Tracy, all the memories we had at the beach growing up...I miss her so much! I pictured her with us the entire time we were there. |

Date night and a beautiful sunset! |
